Information under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data

Our aim is to make explanations about the personal data processing activities carried out by Yelken Eğitim in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data and the principles adopted for the protection of personal data and to ensure transparency by informing the persons whose personal data are processed by our company, especially student candidates, agencies, schools, universities and educational institutions, insurance and airline ticket companies, institutions and employees we cooperate with, customers and third parties who have rights.


Pursuant to the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and the relevant law, persons whose personal data are processed by us may request information about the information processed by Yelken Eğitim regarding them, learn the purpose for which this information is collected, how it is used and the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad, request correction or updating of this information in case it is incomplete or incorrectly processed, and request its deletion, including notifications to third parties to whom it is transferred if the reasons requiring its processing have disappeared.


Yelken Eğitim carries out its personal data and sensitive personal data processing activities in accordance with the data processing conditions set forth in Articles 5 and 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, respectively.


Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data has granted personal data owners the right to be informed about personal data related to them, to access this data, to learn whether it is used for their purposes and to make certain requests such as requesting their correction or deletion. Pursuant to the first paragraph of Article 13 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data; Yelken Eğitim, which is the data controller, the applications to be made regarding these rights must be submitted in writing by the specified methods.


- Applications to be made "in writing" to Yelken Eğitim with the personal application of the applicant.

- Applications to be sent to Yenişehir Mahallesi Millet Caddesi Sümbül Sokak No: 8/1 A Blok Kat 5 Daire 508 Ekinci Rezidans Pendik / Istanbul - Turkiye with the signed petition of the applicant.


Our Company may request additional information from the relevant data subject and may ask questions to the personal data subject regarding his/her application in order to clarify the matters contained in the personal data subject's application.



Third Parties to whom Personal Data is Transferred and Purposes of Transfer

The procedures and principles to be applied in personal data transfers are regulated in Articles 8 and 9 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. In order to fulfill the services provided by Yelken Eğitim, personal data is processed within the framework of the provisions of the law and may be shared with third parties and companies from which it receives services such as flight tickets, education and travel health insurance, schools to which applications are made in line with the demands of students, online school application platforms, visa application platforms of countries and their business partners, our business partners and other third parties. It is not possible to transfer personal data without the explicit consent of the personal data owner, except for the exceptions specified in the KVK Law. Details regarding the transfer of personal data to third parties are included in the "Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure".



Domestic Transfer of Personal Data

In accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, domestic transfer of personal data is possible provided that one of the conditions specified in section 6.1 of this Policy titled "Conditions for Processing Personal Data" is met. Details regarding the domestic transfer of personal data are included in the "Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure".



Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

In accordance with Article 9 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, in the event that personal data is transferred abroad, the existence of one of the following issues is sought in addition to the conditions regarding domestic transfers:

- The country to be transferred is counted among the countries with adequate protection announced by the PDP Board.

- In the event that there is no adequate protection in the country of transfer, the data controllers in Turkey and in the relevant foreign country must undertake an adequate protection in writing and the PDP Board must have the permission for this. Details regarding the transfer of personal data abroad are included in the "Data Transfer and Sharing Procedure".



Personal Data and Our Website

The internet movements of people who visit Yelken Eğitim's website are recorded (by technical means, such as cookies) in order to show them customized content and to carry out online advertising activities. Detailed explanations regarding these activities of our company are included in the Privacy Policies on our website.



Personal Data and Our Offices

Personal data processing activities are carried out to track the entry and exit of our guests who visit all our company offices. The image data and name-surname information of the people who come with the security camera in our offices are also processed for the purpose of tracking their entrances and exits, and the relevant personal data are recorded in the recording system in physical and electronic environment.
